Tip Any course you enroll in on the web is automatically available in the mobile app. You can continue from where you left off on any device.

7.4 Lessons with a practice or mock test

Some lessons are exercises rather than videos. Such a lesson shows a card labelled Practice or Mock Test with the exercise title and an Open button. Clicking it takes you to that practice (see 13. Practice) or mock test (see 12. Mock Test); your attempts and scores are saved there.

The link also works the other way: a practice that is used in a lesson shows a Lesson · course name card under its title, so you can jump back to the lesson that explains the topic (for example the grammar rule behind a grammar exercise).

7.5 Course bundles

A bundle is a set of several courses sold together at one discounted price. Bundles appear in the Courses list next to normal courses.

  1. Open the bundle. The page shows the badge "Bundle · N courses", how much you save compared with buying the courses separately, and "What's included".
  2. Courses you already own are marked "Already owned". They are not refunded — the remaining courses are added to your library.
  3. Click "Buy bundle" and pay as usual (see 18. Payment methods). You can enter a voucher code in the payment window.
  4. When the payment is confirmed, every course in the bundle unlocks.

7.6 Lesson tools, ratings and certificates

  • Below the lesson are tabs for Description, Notes (your private notes), Q&A and Attachments.
  • Some courses unlock lessons one at a time — a locked lesson opens once you finish the earlier ones.
  • You can rate a course from the lesson sidebar ("Rate this course").
  • Completing a course earns a certificate. Your certificates are listed at /me/certificates, where you can Download PDF.

8. Calendar

The calendar shows all of the community's events, live classes, and booked mentoring sessions in one view.

  1. Click Calendar in the left sidebar.
  2. Toggle between month, week, and day views.

  • The booking appears in your Calendar.
  • Click "Join" to enter the video session.

12. Mock Test

A Mock Test is a full-length practice exam built by your community's teacher. It is split into sections, each with its own timer, and combines many task types. Open it from the Mock Test menu item or the Mock Test button at the top of the Practice hub.

12.1 Choosing a test

  1. Click Mock Test in the left sidebar.
  2. Browse the list of available tests.
  3. The featured test is shown at the top with "Start full mock", its number of sections, and your Last attempt (with a Review link). Other tests are listed under "Other tests".
  4. Open a test to see its sections and the time limit of each.
Different questions each time Question and answer order is randomized. Many tests also draw their tasks from a larger pool — if you see "A retake draws different questions.", every new attempt gets a fresh set of tasks.
Mock test list
Figure 12.1 Mock test list

12.2 Taking a test

  1. Allow microphone access before you start if the test has speaking tasks.
  2. Each section opens with an intro screen showing the number of tasks and the time limit. Click Start — the section timer begins.
  3. Inside a section you can move freely between tasks using the task rail (Answered / Skipped / To do), Skip and Next. Answers are saved automatically.
  4. Click "Finish section" to move on. You can't return to a finished section, and when the timer runs out the next section starts automatically.
  5. On the last section click Finish. Any tasks you left empty count as blank.
  6. If you leave in the middle, open the test again and click Resume to continue the unfinished attempt.
Audio in mock tests Like the real exam, recordings usually play only once. If your teacher allowed replays, a replay button appears after the audio ends.

12.3 Viewing results

Right after submitting you're taken to the results page, which shows:

  • Your overall score out of 100, and a score per section
  • How many tasks you answered and skipped
  • For every task: your answer and the correct answer; for speaking and writing tasks, the AI evaluation with strengths and things to improve
  • A Retake button
Mock test result page

12.4 Asking a teacher for feedback

Mock tests are the place to get personal feedback from a teacher. On the result page, under "Teacher feedback":

  1. Optionally write a note about what you'd like checked.
  2. Click "Request teacher feedback". The status changes to "Request sent".
  3. When a teacher reviews your answers, their comments appear in the same panel and you get a notification.
Mobile Mock tests now work in the mobile app too (Practice tab → Take a mock test), including the feedback request. Some parts of the mock test screens are shown in Mongolian only.

13. Practice

The Practice module is one of the most important parts of the platform. Short, repetitive exercises help you build mastery — flashcards, quizzes, writing, speaking, listening, and more.

13.1 Practice hub & types

Click Practice in the sidebar to open the Practice hub. From top to bottom it shows:

  • Header chips — your total XP, your score goal ("Set a goal"), My analytics and the Mock Test button.
  • Continue — jumps back into the practice you did last. My Vocabulary — words you saved for review (see 13.8).
  • 7-day performance — tasks per day, your streak, and accuracy by practice type for the last 30 days.
  • Skills — one card per skill (e.g. Speaking, Reading, Vocabulary) with your % done. Filter with All / New / Finished.

Click a skill to open it. There you can switch between sub-categories, search practices, filter by New / Finished and sort A–Z. Each practice card shows your progress and a Start, Resume or Redo button. A card with a lock and "Enroll to unlock" belongs to a course you haven't enrolled in yet.

Inside a practice, the tasks are listed in a task rail (filter All / New / Done). Use Check to submit a task and Next to move on. The practice mode toggle hides your previous answers so you can try again without affecting your saved result. Tap any word in a text to see its translation and save it to My Vocabulary.

Language of the player Buttons inside the exercise player (for example Шалгах = Check, Дараагийх = Next) are currently shown in Mongolian even when the site language is English.
Practice module home
Figure 13.1 Practice module home

The platform supports the following exercise types (PTE and IELTS exam types are described in 13.9):

  • Vocabulary card / Flashcard — memorize words and definitions with cards
  • Multiple Choice (single) — pick one correct answer
  • Multiple Choice (multi) — pick all correct answers
  • Fill Blanks (drag) — drag words into the right blank
  • Fill Blanks (select) — pick the right word from a dropdown
  • Listening Fill Blanks — listen to audio, then fill in blanks
  • Listening Multiple Choice — listen and answer
  • Highlight Words — mark matching words in a text
  • Reorder Paragraphs — put paragraphs in the right order
  • Select Missing Word — pick the missing word
  • Speaking — record yourself answering and submit
  • Describe Image — talk through what's in an image
  • Respond to Situation — respond verbally to a written scenario
  • Audio Response — answer an audio question by voice
  • Retell Lecture — listen to a lecture, then retell it in your own words
  • Summarize Spoken — summarize spoken audio
  • Summarize Written — summarize a written passage
  • Highlight Correct Summary — pick the correct summary
  • Summarize Group Discussion — summarize a group discussion
  • Write Dictation — type what you hear
  • Timed Writing — write an essay within a time limit
  • Answer Short Question — short-answer questions
  • Poll, HTML mini-games, Template Game and Study Material — see 13.10

13.2 Flashcards — detailed walkthrough

Flashcards are the most effective way to memorize vocabulary and concepts.

  1. Open any Flashcard exercise to start.
  2. The start screen shows how many cards there are and your previous result. Click Start (Эхлэх), or Repeat unknown to drill only the cards you didn't know.
  3. A card appears (front: word; back: meaning, reading and an example sentence).
  4. Click the card or press Space to flip it and check the answer. With auto-read on, the word, the meaning audio and the example are read aloud.
  5. After seeing the answer, choose:
    • Know (key K) — the card returns less frequently
    • Don't know (key J) — the card returns sooner
  6. Once you've finished the deck, you'll see the % you knew. From there you can review the unknown words again, play them in Match Up, or add them to My Vocabulary.

Practice modes

Below the start button, the practice modes panel offers four extra ways to study a deck (all of the deck, or only the words you didn't know):

  • Listen & memorize (Сонсож тогтоох) — hands-free autoplay: each word is read twice, the card flips, and the meaning and example are played, then it moves to the next card.
  • Match Up (Үг тааруулах) — a matching game; needs at least 2 words.
  • Writing practice (Бичиж сурах) — stroke-by-stroke character tracing. Only shown for Chinese, Japanese and Korean decks.
  • Speak mode (Ярьж цээжлэх) — you see the meaning and say the word aloud. Speech recognition checks it automatically: a correct answer shows Зөв! and moves on; otherwise try again, show a hint, or skip. At the end you see how many words you said correctly. Speak mode needs a browser with speech recognition (Chrome or Edge) and microphone access.

How to memorize effectively 10–15 minutes a day works better than one long session. The platform uses spaced repetition — cards you marked "Don't know" come back sooner so you see them more often.

13.3 Quiz types (Multiple Choice, Listening MC, Select Missing Word)

  1. Start the exercise.
  2. Read (or listen to) the question and click the correct option.
    • Single: only one option is correct.
    • Multi: several options may be correct — pick all of them.
  3. Click "Check" to confirm your answer.
  4. Move to the next question. Your score appears at the end.
Multiple choice question

13.4 Fill blanks variants

  • Fill Blanks (drag) — drag words from the word bank below into the right blanks.
  • Fill Blanks (select) — pick from a dropdown at each blank.
  • Listening Fill Blanks — first listen to the audio, then fill the blanks. You can replay the audio 2–3 times.

Every fill-in-the-blank task has at least three gaps. After you check your answers, an ⓘ icon may appear next to a gap — click it to see the correct word and a short explanation of why it is correct (see 13.11).

Fill blanks (drag) exercise
Figure 13.4.1 Fill blanks (drag) exercise

13.5 Writing tasks (Write Dictation, Timed Writing, Summarize Written)

  • Write Dictation — listen to audio and type what you hear. Spelling is checked automatically.
  • Write Essay (Timed Writing) — write an essay on the given topic within a time limit. A word counter is shown on screen. The essay is scored by AI as soon as you submit (see 13.12).
  • Summarize Written — read a passage and write a short summary.
Timed writing — editor with timer
Figure 13.5.1 Timed writing — editor with timer

13.6 Speaking tasks

Speaking tasks require your microphone. The first time you use one, allow microphone access in your browser or app.

  • Read Aloud / Repeat Sentence — read a text aloud, or repeat a sentence you hear.
  • Describe Image — describe what's in the image.
  • Respond to Situation — read a scenario, then respond out loud.
  • Audio Response — listen to an audio prompt and respond by voice.
  • Retell Lecture — listen to a lecture and retell it in your own words.
  1. Click the Record button.
  2. Finish speaking, then click again to stop.
  3. Play it back to check — re-record if you're not satisfied.
  4. Click Submit when ready.

13.7 Other task types

  • Highlight Words — highlight specific words within a passage.
  • Reorder Paragraphs — drag the shuffled paragraphs into the correct order.
  • Highlight Correct Summary — pick the correct summary from several options.
  • Answer Short Question — answer short, one-sentence questions.

13.8 Continue, My Vocabulary & Dictionary

  • Continue — the card at the top of the hub reopens the last practice you worked on, showing how many tasks are done. Your progress inside a practice is saved automatically, so Resume picks up where you stopped.
  • My Vocabulary — words you saved (from a flashcard result or by tapping a word in a text) are collected here and can be reviewed as a flashcard deck.
  • Dictionary — on a skill that contains vocabulary decks, the Dictionary card searches every vocabulary card in the community. Type at least 2 characters, in the target language or in Mongolian, then click Open deck to jump to that card.
Tip Practice progress syncs across web and mobile. Start a flashcard deck on the web, finish it on your phone.

13.9 PTE & IELTS exam tasks

Exam-preparation communities use task types that copy the official exam formats.

PTE

  • Speaking: Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture, Answer Short Question, Respond to a Situation, Summarize Group Discussion.
  • Writing: Write Essay, Summarize Written Text, Write from Dictation.
  • Reading: Reading: Multiple Choice (single / multi-answer), R&W Fill in the Blanks (dropdown), Fill in the Blanks (drag), Re-order Paragraphs.
  • Listening: Summarize Spoken Text, Listening: Multiple Choice (single / multi), Listening: Fill in the Blanks, Highlight Correct Summary, Highlight Incorrect Words.

IELTS

  • Reading / Listening question types: True / False / Not Given, Yes / No / Not Given, Matching (headings, information, features, sentence endings, labelling), Completion (sentence, summary, note, table, flow-chart) and Short-Answer Questions. Word limits such as "NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS" are enforced.
  • Listening Part and Reading Passage — a full part or passage with several mixed question groups that you submit together.
  • Writing Task 1 (150 words) and Writing Task 2 (250 words) — scored by AI against the official criteria.
  • Speaking Part 1 (interview), Part 2 (cue card, with a preparation timer) and Part 3 (discussion).

13.10 Poll, mini-games & study materials

  • Poll — a question with no correct answer. Your vote counts as completing it, and you then see how the other members voted (as percentages).
  • HTML mini-games — interactive games that open inside the practice, for example Rocket Typer, Grammar Blitz, Grammar Steppe, Math Input, Step Solver, Graph Lab, Number Forge, Area Builder, Character Lab, Shagai, and relaxation tools such as Breathing Pacer and Sound Bath. They are scored automatically.
  • Template Game — memorize answer templates by putting them in the right order.
  • Study Material — files or links (PDF, slides, etc.) to view, open or download.

13.11 After you submit: hints, transcripts and lessons

  • ⓘ explanations — in fill-in-the-blank tasks, after you check your answers an ⓘ icon appears next to a gap whose author added an explanation. Click it to see the correct word and why it is correct. (Not shown during mock tests.)
  • Transcript — in listening tasks, use the show transcript toggle (Транскрипт харах / нуух) after submitting to read what was said. Some types show the transcript automatically after you answer.
  • Lesson link — if the practice is used in a course lesson, a Lesson · course card under the practice title opens that lesson, e.g. the grammar explanation for a grammar exercise.

13.12 Scoring: rule-based score vs AI score

  • Auto-graded tasks (multiple choice, fill in the blanks, re-order, highlight, dictation, IELTS reading/listening, games) are scored instantly as a percentage.
  • Speaking tasks first get a quick rule-based score out of 100 (Content, Pronunciation, Oral Fluency). Click "Score by AI" (the button reads AI-ээр дүгнүүлэх) to get a detailed AI evaluation; it replaces the quick score.
  • Writing tasks (Write Essay, IELTS Writing) and Summarize Spoken Text / Group Discussion are scored by AI automatically after you submit.
  • AI feedback lists your strengths and things to improve, with sample answers where the teacher provided them. Open "See full AI feedback" for the details. Feedback is written in Mongolian.
  • All scores use a 0–100 scale. AI scores are an estimate of a real exam score, for practice only.

13.13 My analytics

Click My analytics on the Practice hub to see your own statistics.

  • Pick a period (7 / 30 / 90 / 365 days) and Export Excel if you want a copy.
  • Summary cards: Tasks done, Coverage (how much of the decks you attempted), Accuracy (auto-graded tasks) and Avg score.
  • Daily activity chart and AI criteria — your average rubric scores in AI-graded speaking and writing, weakest first.
  • By deck — every deck grouped by category. The "Accuracy / Score" column shows accuracy for auto-graded decks and the 0–100 score for speaking and writing decks. Only the first category is open by default; click another category to expand it (searching opens all). Click a deck to see each task's result.

Paying on mobile On Android, paid courses show their price and the buy button opens checkout on the website. On iPhone, a paid item can be bought only if it is sold through the App Store (in-app purchase); otherwise it is hidden in the app — buy it on the website and it appears in the app automatically.

19.5 Push notifications

To enable push notifications:

  1. The first time you open the app, "Allow Notifications" will be requested — tap Allow.
  2. If you missed it, go to your phone's Settings → Notifications → Zero to Hero and enable it.
  3. Inside the app, go to Profile → Settings → Notifications to choose which types of notifications you want (messages, events, course updates, etc.).

19.6 Web vs mobile — when to use which

Better on the web:

  • Discovering and joining new communities (marketplace)
  • Paying for new courses — bank transfer, QPay, card payments
  • Browsing mentors and booking a new 1:1 session
  • Reading Testimonials and the Blog
  • Buying from the Shop, and chatting with the AI Assistant
  • Seeing and searching your full list of referrals

Better on mobile:

  • Quick practice sessions (Flashcards, Quizzes) on the go
  • Watching course videos
  • Replying to messages with push notifications
  • Joining Live Events fast
  • Checking upcoming events and rescheduling a booked mentoring session
Recommendation Use both: search and purchase on the web, daily practice and chat on mobile.

20. Shop

Communities can sell physical goods (books, merchandise, study kits) and digital products (PDFs, downloadable files) directly from their space.

20.1 Browsing the shop

  1. Click Shop in the left sidebar (or the community's site menu).
  2. Filter by category, price range, and availability (in stock / sold out) in the left panel.
  3. Sort and switch between grid and list view from the top-right controls.
Figure 20.1
Shop catalog — grid of products with category filters
Go to a community's /shop page while logged in. Capture the full page: left filter panel + product grid.

20.2 Physical vs. digital products

Each product is one of two types:

  • Physical good — has stock, and a delivery method (courier delivery and/or pickup). You'll enter a delivery address at checkout.
  • Digital product — no stock or delivery step; access is granted immediately after payment.

A badge on the product card and detail page shows which type it is, along with its category and stock status (e.g. Sold out).

20.3 Buying a product

  1. Click a product to open its detail page.
  2. Choose a quantity and, for physical goods, Delivery or Pickup.
  3. Either click Buy now to pay for this product straight away (vouchers accepted), or Add to cart to keep shopping.
  4. For physical goods, fill in your full name, phone number and delivery address.
  5. Pay with one of the community's payment methods. When the purchase is confirmed you are taken to My orders.

Shopping cart

The cart icon in the site header shows how many items you've added. Click it to open Your cart: change quantities, Remove items, see the Subtotal, and click Checkout to pay for everything at once. The cart is kept in your browser, separately for each community.

Figure 20.2

Open any in-stock product from the shop. Capture the right-hand purchase panel along with the product image.

20.4 Product Q&A

Below the product description there's a Q&A thread where you can ask the community admin a question about the product (sizing, shipping time, contents, etc.) before buying. Type your question and click Post.

Tip Track your purchases under My orders (/me/orders, in the user menu). Physical orders move from Pending review / Paid → Shipped (with a tracking number or Track package link) → Delivered. Digital products have a Download button.

21. Referral program

Every member has a personal referral link. When someone creates an account through your link and later makes their first purchase in a community that runs a referral program, that community pays you a commission.

  • Each community sets its own rate. It may also give you a custom rate. Communities that don't run a program pay 0%.
  • Once per person, per community: you earn on the first purchase that person makes in each community.
  • Not in your own community: you don't earn in communities you own or administer.
  • The community pays you directly, not the platform.

21.1 Sharing your referral link

  1. On the web, click your avatar (top right) → Referrals, or go to /me/referrals. Your link is in the "Your referral link" card. Click Copy.
  2. In the mobile app, open Profile → Referral & affiliate and tap Share link or Copy.
  3. Share it anywhere: social media, chat, email.
Tip New people count when they create their account through your link, or type your code under Have a referral code? while signing up. People who already have an account count too, for one community: when they open the invite link from a community you're a member of and click Join on the web. You then earn from their purchases in that community.
Figure 21.1
Referral program page — totals, communities that pay commission, your referrals, referral link, bank details
Go to /me/referrals. Capture the top of the page: the three stat cards (total referrals, owed to you, paid to you) and the "Communities that pay commission" card.

21.2 What you earn

The top of the Referrals page shows how many people you've referred, what communities owe you and what they've paid you. Amounts in different currencies are shown separately.

  • Communities that pay commission lists each community that runs a program for you, with your rate there (marked Custom when the community gave you a special rate) and what it owes you.
  • Your referrals lists everyone you brought in, with a status: No purchase yet, Bought, Commission owed or Commission paid, plus the amount and community. Search by name, or filter to Bought or No purchase yet.
  • If you own or run a community, people you brought there show as Bought when they purchase, with what they spent. You don't earn commission in your own community.
  • Recent transactions lists each commission with its community and status: Owed, Paid or Cancelled. A commission is cancelled when the purchase is refunded before you were paid.

21.3 Getting paid

  1. Add your bank details (bank, account number, account name) under "Payout bank details" on the web, or under Bank details in the app. Communities use them to pay you.
  2. The community that owes you pays you directly, by bank transfer, QPay or another way, and then records the payment. You don't need to request it.
  3. Once recorded, the amount moves from Owed to you to Paid to you.
Note You aren't notified yet when you earn a commission or get paid. If a payment seems late, contact the community's owner.

22. XP, streaks, goals & planner

22.1 How you earn XP

XP measures your activity in a community. Your total is shown on the Practice hub and in the member list.

ActivityXP
Doing an exercise for the first time+3
Finishing an exercise (once per exercise per day)+5
Finishing a mock test (once a day)+15
Posting a thread+10
Posting a reply+5
Receiving a reaction+2

When you earn XP, a short "+N XP — Keep it up" badge pops up.

22.2 Streak and score goal

  • The 7-day performance panel counts how many days in a row you have practised. Practise today to keep the streak going.
  • Click "Set a goal" on the hub to choose a target score (0–100). The chip then shows Score current / target, where your current score is the average of your scores across skills.

22.3 My planner and homework

The Calendar page has a My planner card with your own tasks and the homework your teachers set you (marked set by …). Click Add task to plan your own study; overdue tasks are marked Overdue. Reminders are delivered by the mobile app.

23. AI Assistant

Some communities have their own AI Assistant — a chatbot that answers questions from the community's own content (courses, posts, pages, events and FAQ).

  1. Click AI Assistant in the sidebar.
  2. Type your question in "Ask a question…" and click Send. Answers can include Source links to the content they came from.
  3. Click New conversation to start a fresh topic.
  • Community staff can read the conversations and step in. When they do, you see "A moderator is handling this conversation" and their replies are marked Reply from community staff.
  • There are message limits per day and per conversation; when you hit one, wait until the next day or start a new conversation.
  • An assistant can be reserved for a course's students — then you see View the course instead of the chat.
Remember The AI Assistant is not a teacher or moderator, and its answers can be wrong. Check with the community staff when it matters.
